Impronte digitali is the user interface for research, access and utilization of digitized collections of the University of Florence Library System. It is one of the achievements of the project Digitizing for library services . In February 2016 Impronte digitali offered access to over 12.600 resources with more than 128.000 images: books, drawings, manuscripts and periodicals, especially rare and valuable material – in some cases unique – or with an important historical and cultural interest. Impronte digitali has four search types including an in depht full text search; allows to flip through the pages of volumes or other resources in different ways and it is designed to accommodate materials of different formats (for example audio and video) as well as material with access restrictions.
