En el presente artículo he recogido una visión general del romancero, elaborado en lengua española, partiendo de sus inicios, a través del Romancero viejo, y pasando por su transición hasta el Romancero nuevo, del cual expongo sus características generales. Todo ello en relación con la muestra y análisis de algunos ejemplos líricos que han ido configurando al romancero lorquino, desde el siglo XV, hasta el siglo XX.

In this paper, I have collected an overview of the Ballads, elaborate in Spanish language, starting from the beginning, through the old ballads and through its transition to the new ballads, which I expose their general characteristic. All in conjunction with the simple and analysis of some lyrical examples have shaped the ballads of Lorca City, from the fifteenth century to the twentieth century.
