Phytotoxic metabolites from Botrytis cinerea Pers. have been studied and are present in mycelium and cultural filtrates. There is considerable strain variation in the amounts produced. Four strains active to Chlorella vulgaris 62 test‐system fractions have been obtained by column chromato‐graphy on silica gel. Chromatography has provided the opportunity to obtain two substances in crystalline form. According to the data obtained, it has been concluded that the substances obtained are new for B. cinerea.
