A relationship established by Grigoriev and Budyko between the radiation index of dryness and productivity of natural (zonal) vegetation can be used to predict the realised yielding potential (RYP) of vineyards under conditions of natural moisture supply (without irrigation). Isolines showing the index of dryness distribution in the Crimea have been established, and the levels of dry biological product and yields for high‐ and medium‐yielding cultivars have been calculated. The data can be used to determine the irrigation norm of irrigated vineyards, thus providing maximum productivity of vines in a given region.
