    The article tackles the famous passage from chapter VI concerning katharsis. It goes back on the reasons cited by those in favour of deleting or modifying the term “katharsis” and on the discussions aroused by their proposals. It ends with a new suggestion : “mimèsis” should be read instead of “katharsis”.

L’article revient sur les raisons invoquées par les partisans d’une suppression ou d’une correction du terme « katharsis » et sur les débats que leurs propositions ont suscités.
