Este estudio pretende evaluar el proceso de reforzamiento involucrado en la persistencia de la conducta de fumar en estudiantes universitarios. A través de un diseño A-B se analizó la persistencia del hábito de fumar de 62 estudiantes universitarios que voluntariamente aceptaron disminuir su consumo de cigarrillo con uno de 4 posibles procedimientos: coste de respuesta, cigarrillo electrónico, parches de nicotina y la combinación de todas las anteriores opciones. Se tomaron pruebas de cooximetría, se aplicó el QSU-Brief, el test de Fagerström, el cuestionario de hábitos de consumo antes y después de cada una de las fases. Siete participantes completaron el proceso; se observaron mayores reducciones del craving negativo, dependencia y CO2 para aquellos participantes que usaron el cigarrillo electrónico.
This study pretends to assess the reinforcement process involved in smoking behavior persistence in university students. Through an A-B design it was analyzed the persistence of smoking behavior of 62 students who voluntarily accepted to diminish their cigarette intake with one of four possible procedures: cost of response, e-cigarette, nicotine patches, and the combination of these three options. Cooximetry testing were taken, it was applied the QSU-Brief, the test of Fageström, also the habits questions before and after each of the stages. Seven participants ended the whole process; it has observed higher negative craving reductions, dependence and CO2 for those e-cigarette users.
