Resumen de A Voz da Infância: um jornal escrito para as crianças pelas crianças, 1936-1948

This article analyzes the newspaper A Voz da Infância, during the years 1936-1948. Produced entirely by children attending the Biblioteca Infantil of São Paulo, the newspaper reveals some peculiarities about what it meant to be a child in this period: their daily lives, their concerns, their values. One of the most recurring topics in the articles and reviews published in the journal were books and the practice of reading. Using the works of cultural history and anthropology of the child, we intend to analyze the reception of readings by children, their practices as readers and their thoughts about the books they read.

Este artigo pretende analisar o jornal A Voz da Infância, durante os anos de 1936 a 1948. Produzido integramente pelas crianças frequentadoras da Biblioteca Infantil da cidade de São Paulo, o jornal nos revela algumas peculiaridades sobre o que era ser criança nesse período, o seu cotidiano, suas preocupações, seus valores. Um dos assuntos mais abordados nos artigos e resenhas escritos pelas crianças era a leitura e os livros. Utilizando um repertório teórico proveniente da história cultural e da antropologia da criança, pretende-se analisar a recepção da leitura por parte das crianças, quais suas práticas enquanto leitores e quais opiniões tinham sobre o que liam.
