Durante la dictadura de Franco la Sección Femenina de FET y de las JONS (SF) fue el principal instrumento del que se sirvió el régimen para imponer su política de género. El poder e influencia de la organización femenina no fue constante a lo largo de la dictadura, muy especialmente desde la década de los años cincuenta, cuando la distancia entre la realidad social y las consignas falangistas es más evidente. La falta de sintonía de la SF con las españolas se intentó paliar con diversas acciones, sumándose a iniciativas legales iniciadas desde otros ámbitos, y promoviendo la celebración de algunos encuentros como el Año Internacional de la Mujer. Pero estas actuaciones no dejaban de ser meros intentos de supervivencia en un contexto difícil para la SF como fueron los últimos años del Franquismo. Este estudio tiene por objeto analizar esos acontecimientos así como los factores que subyacían detrás del interés de la SF.

Under the Francoist dictatorship, the Female Section of FET y de las JONS (SF) was the main instrument used by the regime to impose its gender policy. The power and the influence of the female organization was not consistent over the dictatorship. From the 1950s onwards there was a growing distance between the real social situation and the guidelines of falangism. Different actions were undertaken in order to ease the lack of understanding between SF and the Span-ish women, actions that want beyond the legal initiatives in other areas and the promotion of meetings as the International Woman Year. But these actions were only attempts to survive in a difficult context for the SF during the last years of franquism. The objective of this study is to analyse these processes and strategies and the role of the SF.
