    It points out the importance of the functions performed by the Registry Office in the Costa Rican society. It provides a brief review of its origin and organization, focusing on the high level of credibility that Costa Ricans give to the registration acts performed by the institution. It also points out its contribution to the development of Costa Rican democracy by offering an electoral roster, which is updated on a daily basis and which is constantly seeking to improve its services by incorporating new technologies
