In the last few years almond crop has experienced an outstanding growth. Almonds consumption has increased due to different nutritional studies and a great promotion of that crop by Californian producers. Australia has adopted their crop techniques and has pushed Spain out from our second producer position in the world. All of this has shown Spanish farmers the benefits of devoting resources to almond crop. Nowadays the importance of irrigation related to productivity is uncontestable. The direct relationship between the volume of water applied with a good irrigation system and the obtained amount of grain has been clearly shown.
