Ten years ago Alexandra David-Néel died, se was 101. Se bacame fomus for exploring Central Asia and more specially Tibet. With her adoptive son, Yongden, a buddhist lama, she travelled trough that country, then europeans were forbidden to enter it, and reached Lhassa at the end of an expedition that was unique in its kind as she travelled without any luggage or money.
She was the first frenchwomen who became converted to buddhism, she also has a thorough know ledge of Vedanta (an hindú philosophy founded of the Vedas) and the different hindu doctrines . She brought a considerable amount to the study of the geography, the ethnology and the history of eastern Asia.

Morte à l'âge de 101 ans, voici dix ans, Alexandra David Néel s'était illustrée par ses explorations en Asie centrale et notamment au Tibet. Accompagnée de son fils adoptif, le lama Yongden, elle parcourut ce pays alors interdit aux européens et parvint a Lhassa au terme dúne expédition unique en son genre, puisque sans bagages et sans argent.
Première française à avoir adhéré au bouddhisme, elle connaissait également fort bien le Vedana et les différentes doctrines hindoues. Sa contribution à la géographie, à l'ethnographie et aà l'histoire de l'Asie orientale et considérable.

Vor zehn jahren starb Alexandra David-Néel Alexandra David-Néelwar 101 jahre alt und wurde durch ihre forshungsreisen in Mittelasien, besonders in Tibet bekannt. Von ihremadoptivsohn, dem lama Yongden, begleitet, fuhr sie durch dieses zu dieser zeit den europäen gesperre land und erreivhte sogar Lhassa and Ziel einer in ihrer art einzigen reise, da sie weder gepäknoch geld hatte.
Als erste französische frau stimmte sie dem buddhismus zu und studierte auch die verschiedenen hinduischem Lehremn wie die wedische Lehre. Ihr beitrag zur geographie, ethnologie und geschichte Mittelasiens ist sehr bedeutend.
