Nuestra investigación gira alrededor del impacto de las tecnologías virtuales contemporáneas, para lo cual nos acercaremos a los diferentes discursos que se van produciendo y reproduciendo gracias a sus propios protagonistas, jóvenes usuarios que recurren a dichas tecnologías para moldearlas de acuerdo a sus necesidades. Buscamos reconocer el impacto de las nuevas tecnologías que el Internet trae consigo, las que funcionan gracias no sólo al uso del mismo, sino a su empleo como mediador entre diferentes usuarios, lo que produciría importantes consecuencias en el mundo simbólico de quienes la utilizan. Para nuestros propósitos elegimos el Messenger, intermediario vital para toda comunicación vía Internet en tiempo real. Me he basado en múltiples conversaciones sostenidas con jóvenes entre 15 y 18 años de edad, los que poseen representatividad gracias a la utilización diaria del mismo. El cisma entre padres e hijos en la socialización de éstos últimos, producto de la emancipación del joven hacia un mundo sin reglas ni límites, le ofrecería además pautas de socialización virtual, una creciente economía del tiempo, de los espacios físicos e inclusive del cuerpo. Estamos por ende ante nuevos paradigmas complejos de socialización entre pares que renuevan las estructuras intersubjetivas hasta hoy conocidas.

We focus our investigation on the impact of the new virtual technologies that keep appearing in the Internet. That is the reason why we will approach the different views that keep coming from the young users that seek those technologies and mold them to their very own necessities. These technologies work not only because of its own use, but also because of their employment as a mediator between users, which would produce important consequences in their symbolic world. The internet application selected for this study is Msn Messenger, a very popular real time conversation program. We have based our investigation in multiple conversations held by teens aged between 15 and 18 years old, which possess high representativity, given their daily use of Msn Messenger. The broken socialization between these teens and their parents, consequence of the teens emancipation to a world without rules or limits, would also offer themguidelines to a virtual socialization, which saves them time and space. We are facing new and complex socialization paradigms between equals that keep renewing the intersubjective structures known to this day.
