    This paper explores the notion of education of the senses in Walter Benjamin’s Diary of Moscow and Berlin Childhood: 1900, highlighting the important role of memory as the main formative element of individual and collective spheres. We argue that Benjamin’s thought identified a new configuration of sensitivity rising in modern metropolis, as well as in the figures of resistance and of thresholds, such as the child and the traveler.

    Este artigo pretende explorar a noção de educação dos sentidos nos ensaios Diário de Moscou e Infância berlinense: 1900, de Walter Benjamin, destacando o importante papel da memória como principal elemento formativo das esferas individual e coletiva. Pensamos que há no pensamento do filósofo berlinen se uma nova configuração da sensibilidade fornecida pelas grandes metrópoles modernas e pelas figuras de resistência e de limiares, como a criança e o viajante nos textos analisados.
