  Se han sistematizado las diferentes vías que se ofrecen al cirujano para intentar evitar que tanto su propia persona, como el material y el medio que le rodea, se conviertan en un vehículo de la infección. Se trata de un conjunto de conocimientos que nos descargará de la tremenda responsabilidad que significa se fuente de enfermedad en vez de manantial de salud como es nuestro deber.

  The authors have systematized the different ways for surgeons to prevent themselves, the material they use and their environment from becoming a vehicle for infections. lt is a set of ideas that can be found in the bibliography. The correct use of them will unburden us from the imposing responsibility of becoming a vehicle for infections.
