Resumen de Variabilidad de la precipitación pluvial en la región Pacífico Norte de México

  Los cambios climáticos anuales y de un periodo a otro se pueden atribuir tanto a la variabilidad natural del clima como al cambio ocasionado por las actividades antropogénicas. Para determinar la significancia de los cambios observados en la Región III Pacífico Norte (RPN) se analizó la variabilidad pluviométrica de las precipitaciones diarias, mensuales y anuales de los registros históricos depurados de 74 estaciones climatológicas ubicadas en las 13 regiones climáticas de la RPN en el periodo 1921-2004. Se usaron análisis de varianza y la prueba de Kruskall-Wallis para comparar las medias y medianas de la intensidad de las lluvias en los últimos 25 y 10 años, contra sus registros anteriores. Se compararon las lluvias máximas de verano en dos periodos, hasta 1979 y de 1980-2004. La prueba de McNemar muestra (p<0.05) que en los dos períodos aumentó la intensidad media de precipitación, y que la región climática con mayores cambios es la Bs1(h)w que incluye cuatro municipios de Chihuahua y cinco de Sinaloa. La prueba de McNemar mostró que no hay cambios (p>0.05) en las lluvias máximas de verano de la RPN.

  Annual climatic changes and those from one period to another may be attributed to natural climate variability as well as to the change caused by anthropogenic activities. In order to determine the significance of the changes observed in Region III of the North Pacific (RPN), pluviometric variability of daily, monthly, and annual rainfall of the selected historical records of 74 weather stations was analyzed, located in the 13 climatic regions of the RPN in the period 1921-2004. Analyses of variance and the Kruskall-Wallis test were used to compare the means and medians of rainfall intensity in the last 25 and 10 years to their previous records. The maximum summer rainfalls in two periods were compared until 1979, and from 1980 to 2004. The McNemar test shows (p<0.05) that in the two periods, rainfall mean intensity increased, and that the climatic region with the greatest changes is the Bs1(h)w region which includes four municipalities of Chihuahua and five of Sinaloa. The McNemar test demonstrated that there are no changes (p>0.05) in the maximum summer rainfalls of the RPN.
