[New reports of bathyal Mollusks from Tuscan Archipelago and adjacent areas]. The deep water molluscs Emarginula crassa J. Sowerby, 1813, Moelleria costulata (Møller, 1842), Calliotropis ottoi (Philippi, 1844), Haliella tyrrhena Di Geronimo & La Perna, 1999, Mysouffa cf. turrita (Watson, 1883), Scaphander punctostriatus (Mighels & Adams, 1842), Bathyarca frielei (Friele, 1877) are first records from the Tuscan waters in the North Tyrrhenian Sea. Since this material is recorded as empty shells only, it is hypothesized that these taxa are possibly sourced from last glacial assemblages and no longer living in the Mediterranean Sea.
