    No presente artigo, após uma breve síntese do conteúdo da Proposta da Comissão Europeia para alteração da Directiva “Televisão sem Fronteiras”, o autor apresenta uma análise crítica ao nível das motivações, das justificações e dos resultados previstos. Nessa análise, o autor salienta as lacunas e insuficiências jurídicas da proposta, com destaque para a manutenção de redacção pouco clara e soluções pouco ambiciosas no que respeita à harmonização das legislações nacionais, assim como a introdução de desequílibrios entre os interesses em causa.

    After a brief summary of the content of the Proposal of the European Commission to the Amendment of the Directive “Television Without Frontiers", the author presents a critical analysis on the motivations, justifications and achievements of such Proposal. In this analysis the author stresses the gaps and insufficiencies of the proposal by highlighting the unclear drafting and the non-ambitious solutions with regards to the harmonisation of all national legislations, and also the introduction of an unbalance of interests.
