    En este ensayo analizo la representación del espacio urbano en el filme clásico de ciencia ficción Blade Runner (1982), dirigido por el británico Ridley Scott. Específicamente, me propongo examinar cómo se representa la crisis de la modernidad a través de la configuración cinematográfica de la ciudad. Identifico cinco ejes de análisis: 1) lo sagrado y lo utópico, 2) la contaminación y degradación del espacio urbano, 3) la multiculturalidad e interculturalidad, 4) el discurso publicitario y 5) el acceso y reciclaje de tecnologías. La idea central es que la ciudad recreada por Scott enfatiza la imagen de la ciudad-mundo, de acuerdo con Marc Augé, entendida como el lugar de las contradicciones y tensiones de la sociedad global.

    In this essay I analyze the representation of the urban space in the classic movie of science fiction Blade Runner (1982), directed by Ridley Scott. Specifically, I set out to examine how the crisis of modernity through the cinematographic configuration of the city imagines. I identify five axis of analysis that development in the text: 1) the sacred and the utopian, 2) the contamination and degradation of the urban space, 3) the multiculturalism and interculturality, 4) discursivities of publicity and 5) the access and recycling of technologies. The central idea is that the city recreated by Ridley Scott emphasizes the image of the city-world, in agreement with Marc Augé, understood like the place of the contradictions and tensions of the global society.
