    Pollen analysis of many cores in eastern Channel have permitted an understanding of the vegetational history from the Late-Glacial stage to the Boreal-Atlantic transition. Radiocarbon dating of brackish peats shows the evidence of sea-level variations at the beginning of the Postglacial stage.

    L'analyse pollinique de plusieurs carottages effectués en Manche orientale permet de préciser les modifications du couvert végétal depuis la fin du Tardiglaciaire jusqu'à la limite Boréal-Atlantique. La datation absolue des dépôts tourbeux saumâtres met en évidence les variations de la ligne de rivage au début du Postglaciaire.
