First results of a study on a site where H. Elhai (1963) recognized the upper pliocene datation (Reuvérian) in black clay beds. Reuverian clays overlies different sand formations which are also attributed to pliocene period owing to lithological correlations with sands recently dated in Upper Normandy - Nearly at the top of the deposits, sand and beds of flints belong the early pleistocene period, with cold climate at the beginning. Stall very hypothetic correlations are tried with Netherland pliocene deposits : it supposed that the "Saint-Eustache" and "Lozère" sand formations of Upper Normandy, possible equivalents of the whole "Lozère" sand formation in the Bassin Parisien, could be related, the first with the beginning of reuverian cycle and the second with brunssumian cycle.
