    Pollen diagrams of the middle altitude bogs (800-850 m) in the Vosges show that Abies has a larger percentage than Fagus since the Subboreal and even during the Atlantic, when the Abies-Fagus wood was a poorly represented group. The lack of peat anterior to the Holocene corroborate the hypothesis that the sites of the bogs were englaced during the Würm.

    Les tourbières vosgiennes de moyenne altitude (800-850 m) montrent la prédominance d'Abies sur Fagus depuis le Subboréal et même à l'Atlantique, alors que la Sapinière-Hêtraie n'était qu'un groupement faiblement représenté. L'absence de tourbes antérieures à l'Holocène confirme l'hypothèse que les sites des tourbières ont été englacés au Würm.
