  • Resumen
    • We have developed an online examination system that can provide nearly instantaneous feedback to students concerning the results of examinations having a variety of formats. This program utilizes the scripting language Frontier in combination with standard hypertext markup language (HTML) forms. A unique aspect of the program is the option of programming mathematical formulas utilizing input data from the form in a fashion akin to a spreadsheet. We have made use of this capability in our introductory chemistry laboratory program. For each experiment students are required to submit primary data and results of any calculations using a form that automatically checks their submission and can provide feedback on possible sources of calculational errors and the accuracy of results.
