Observations sur la diffusion des importations italiques dans l'Aude aux IIe et Ier siècles avant J.-C.

    The development of Italie imports during the 2nd and lst centuries B.C. was common to various regions of Gaul. It was particularly rapid along the great axes of communication, such as the one which crossed the Gaulish isthmus. Although the kinds of products imported are well known (Italie amphoras, Campagnan pottery, etc.), their destination is not as clear. During an inventory carried out in the eastern part of the Aude-Garonne corridor, numerous observations were made concerning the composition and the evolution of these imports from the middle of the Second Iron Age, the paths of penetration from Narbonne's ports and the stages of their diffusion throughout the Aude basin. In a great many cases, the relationships between this merchandise and the various forms of land use, or certain activities (agriculture, mining), could be perceived. These latter have led to a preliminary analysis of the economie conditions in this micro-region at the very beginning of Romanization.

    Le développement des importations d'origine italique, aux Ile et Ier s. avec j.-C., est commun à diverses régions de Gaule ; il est particulièrement rapide sur les grands axes, comme celui qui traverse l'isthme gaulois. Si les productions qui composent ces apports sont bien connues (amphores italiques, céramique campanienne...), leur destination l'est moins. Au cours d'un travail d'inventaire concernant la partie orientale du couloir Aude-Garonne, de nombreuses observations ont été réunies concernant la composition et l'évolution de ces importations à partir du milieu du 2e Age du Fer, mais aussi les voies de pénétration à partir des ports narbonnais, les étapes de leur diffusion en bassin audois. Dans de nombreux cas, les relations des apports commerciaux avec diverses formes d'occupation du sol, ou avec certaines activités (agriculture, mines), ont pu être appréhendées. Ce sont ces derniers aspects qui permettent une première approche des conditions économiques dans la micro-région au tout début de la romanisation.
