Un cratère à colonnettes de style subgéométrique rhodanien découvert sur l'oppidum des Barbes-et-Fon-Danis à Saint-Laurent-de-Carnols (Gard)

    The excavation of a yard of a small elevated dwelling dated back to the end of the 5th century B.C. in the Cèze valley (Gard) led to the discovery in 1983 of a crater with small columns of subgeometric Rhodanien style. Because of its painted frieze representing horsemen this vase is exceptional. In this study, the vase is thoroughly described and compared with a few other shards of the same style with anthropomorphic and/or zoomorphic paintings which were found along the edges of the Rhone valley.

    La fouille de la cour d'un petit habitat de hauteur de la fin du Ve s. av. J.-C. dans la vallée de la Cèze (Gard) a entraîné en 1983 la découverte d'un cratère à colonnettes de style subgéométrique rhodanien. Ce vase est exceptionnel de par sa frise peinte représentant des cavaliers. Il est ici décrit minutieusement et comparé aux quelques autres tessons de même style à figurations anthropomorphes et/ou zoomorphes trouvés en bordure de la vallée du Rhône.
