    Si hablamos de humor en la Literatura española resulta imprescindible atender a la «Otra generación del 27», creadora de un Nuevo Humor, esencial en el camino hacia lo que más tarde sería el género del Absurdo. El presente artículo se propone analizar las influencias del cine mudo americano en la obra teatral de uno de sus miembros, «Tono», a partir de la comparación de estrategias entre su obra «Guillermo Hotel» y varias de las obras maestras silentes de Charles Chaplin y Buster Keaton

    If we intend to talk about humour in the Spanish Literature, it is impossible not to talk about the writers of the «Otra generación del 27», who introduce a New Humour, essential for the developmet of the Absurd aesthetic. This article is intended to analyze the influence of the american silent film in the humour's plays of one of them, «Tono». For that, we will compare the play «Guillermo Hotel» with some of the best films of Charles Chaplin and Buster Keaton; checking how drama translates cinematic strategies.
