This article offers a brief overview of Appreciative Inquiry. It discusses first, the theoretical bases of this new and revolutionary methodology for promoting positive change in businesses and organizations. Second, it presents the empirical foundations of AI. Third, it describes the four phases do the process for conducting an AI: Discovery, Dream, Design, and Destiny (Living). Four, the article also addresses the necessary ingredients for a successful Appreciative Intervention. Finally, it discusses the credibility of AI.
