This article analyses the impact of the painted architecture in the works of Piero della Francesca, particularly the imaginary building in the Montefeltro Altarpiece, on Florentine architect Baccio Pontelli (1449-1494?). Echoes of the perspective and architectural structural of Piero’s masterpiece are present in works of wood inlay, or intarsia, such as the studiolo of the Ducal Palace in Urbino, as well as real buildings, mainly at the church of Santa Maria Nuova in Orciano di Pesaro.
O presente artigo analisa o impacto da arquitetura pintada na obra de Piero della Francesca, em particular do edifício imaginário do Retábulo Montefeltro, sobre o arquiteto fiorentino Baccio Pontelli (1449-1494?).
