  Galician-Portuguese poetry is a good example of cultural dialog and, more specifically, it’s an example of the presence of Mediterranean culture in the history of Iberian Middle Age. This Cantiga de tear (chanson de toile), that is the focus of our attention here, allows a very modern meditation about textual composition and about the very notion of work of literature as a fabric, a web or a canvas, in which many levels of threads - beautiful threads, threads of silk - get superposed.

  A good opportunity to reflect about the sense of literature.

  A poesia galego-portuguesa é um saudável exemplo de diálogo de culturas e da presença da tradição da cultura do Mediterrâneo na história medieval da Península Ibérica. Para além disso, esta cantiga de tear (chanson de toile) que é o foco deste ensaio abre espaço para uma reflexão muito moderna sobre a composição textual e sobre a noção de obra como teia, tela, tecido em que camadas de fios -fios belos, fios de seda - se vêm sobrepor. Uma chance de refletir sobre o sentido da literatura.
