Resumen de Reinos em guerras, infantas aflitas: a mulher nas vicissitudes políticas das monarquias Ibéricas Medievais

During the Late Middle Ages, the Iberian monarchies assiduously arranged the advance of matrimonial alliances with the intention of having cooperation between the reigns. The alliances involved, most of the time, an attempt of overcoming the political and social instabilities that the monarchies were going through. Nevertheless, the agreements were not always consistent, once they depended on the political vicissitudes of the reigns involved. The adherents of these agreements were the kings Dinis and Afonso IV of Portugal, and during the reigns of Afonso X, Sancho IV, Fernando IV and Afonso XI of Castile, as well as Jaime II of Aragon

Durante a Baixa Idade Média, as monarquias Ibéricas recorreram, com muita assiduidade, à promoção de diversas alianças matrimoniais com o intento de cooperação entre os reinos. Essas alianças envolviam, na maioria das vezes, uma ação na tentativa de superar os momentos de profunda instabilidade política e social pelos quais passavam as referidas monarquias. No entanto, esses acordos nem sempre foram consistentes, uma vez que dependiam das vicissitudes política dos reinos envolvidos, das quais foram adeptos os reis de Portugal D. Dinis, D. Afonso IV, e de Castela durante os reinados de Afonso X, Sancho IV, Fernando IV e Afonso XI, assim como o rei de Aragão, Jaime II.
