    Esta investigación se realizó buscando responder al interrogante: las condiciones de corte, longitud de tallo e hidratación en florero mejoran la calidad estética y durabilidad en florero de las inflorescencias de Heliconia bihai c.v. Lobster Claw. Determinándose como variable a evaluar los días que se demoraron las inflorescencias en presentar daño visual en florero; y como variable a medir los centímetros de quemazón presentes en la bractea media de cada inflorescencia.Se realizó un diseño experimental en arreglo factorial 32 x 2, con 3 niveles de hora de corte; 2 longitudes de tallo y 3 formas de hidratación en florero, a su vez se aplicó una regresión loggit al mejor tratamiento, un análisis bajo prueba comparativa de tukey con confiabilidad del 95%.Dichas inflorescencias presentaron una durabilidad en florero de 10 días; lo que quiere decir, que para esta especie si se cumple con las condiciones de corte y poscosecha propuestas en este estudio tardará en marchitarse 17 días, a partir del momento de corte.
