    In the Premery forest (Nièvre, Central France), the pollen analysis of two ponds originated perhaps in karst phenomena and filled up with silt and peat allowed to date their presence before the younger Dryas. The pollen diagrams are covering a period from the Younger Dryas up to Subatlantic, showing the succession of cold steppe with great percentages of Artemisia, Graminae and Compositae, thermophilous forest with Ulmus predominating Quercus and the presence of Fagus early in atlantic period.

    L'analyse pollinique du remplissage limoneux et tourbeux de plusieurs depressions de la forêt de Premery a permis d'attribuer la période de leur formation à une époque antérieure au Dryas récent. A la faveur de l'accumulation continue depuis le Tardiglaciaire récent et l'Holocène, l'histoire de l'évolution de la forêt du plateau nivernais a pu être reconstituée.
