When we address the issue of women in Hellenic society, we are faced with different pathways, each leading to additional parameters. In this paper, we propose a case study of Greek religious events — both in texts and images — pertaining to Pandora, the first mortal woman created by the gods. We will reflect on the concept and image of this deity, and discuss how the analysis of sources can, in some respects, reflect the Greek ideal of the female figure
