Sobre la distribución geográfica de las especies chilenas de Parastacidae (Crustacea: Decapoda: Astacidea)

    En las aguas dulces de Chile habitan seis especies de camarones de la Familia Parastacidae, cuya distribución geográfica conjunta se extiende desde el borde marino hasta la precordillera andina entre el río Aconcagua (32°55’ S; 71°30’ W) y la península de Taitao (46°30’ S; 74°30’ W). Sin embargo, en la literatura relacionada con estas especies se distinguen varios errores e imprecisiones respecto al rango geográfico de ellas. Algunos de estos errores son de larga data y han generado confusión respecto a su distribución geográfica, la que en algunos casos se mantiene hasta hoy. En este artículo se compilan los registros históricos de ocurrencia de estas especies en Chile, los que se actualizan con datos recientes de lugares de captura tanto para fines comerciales como de estudio. Se delimitan los rangos geográficos de cada especie y se discuten las probables causas de sus actuales patrones de distribución geográfica.

    In the freshwaters of Chile inhabit six species of the family Parastacidae, whose joint geographical distribution extends from the marine edge until to the Andean premountain range between the Aconcagua River (32°55' S; 71°30' W) and the Taitao's peninsula (46°30' S; 74°30' W). However, in the literature related to these species several errors and imprecisions with respect to the geographic range of them are distinguished. Some of these errors are of long data and have generated confusion with respect to their geographical distribution, the one that in some cases stays until today. In this article the historical records of occurrence of these species in Chile are compiled, those that are updated as much with recent data of places of capture for commercial aims as of study. The geographic range of each species are delimited and the probable causes of their present geographical distribution patterns are discussed.
