    En este ensayo presentaremos las aportaciones que las retóricas del siglo XVI español hacen al análisis del discurso narrativo. Los manuales de retórica que estudiamos corresponden al periodo de fines del siglo XV a mediados del siglo XVI. El objetivo central consiste en destacar las diferencias, sobre los modos de narrar, entre las retóricas españolas del siglo XVI y las de la Antigüedad.

    This essay will present the contributions that the Spanish rhetoric of the Sixteenth Century made to the analysis of narrative discourse. The manuals of rhetoric studied correspond to the period that ranges from the end of the Fifteenth Century to the Mid-sixteenth Century. The central objective is to highlight the differences, in the modes of storytelling, between the rhetorical Spaniards of the Sixteenth Century and those of Antiquity.
