    El imperio español se creó a finales de la Edad Media y principios de la Edad Moderna.

    Los devenires artísticos, la tradición hispana y el arraigo del Concilio de Trento impidieron la llegada de vidrieras a los nuevos territorios. Será durante la XIX centuria cuando estos miren a Europa como modelo, tomando especialmente a Francia como ejemplo. Será la burguesía, quien conoce la vanguardia y viaja a Europa, la encargada de llevar vidrieras a sus viviendas, por la simbología de poder económico y civil que estas transmiten. Este es el caso canario, similar al de los países iberoamericanos en ideas, historia y contexto, por lo que será analizado aquí como modelo.

    The Spanish empire was created by the end of the Middle Ages and beginning of the Modern Age. The artistic transformations, the Hispanic tradition and the consolidation of the Trento Council prevented the arrival of stained glass windows into the new territories. It will not be until the 19th century when they look at Europe as a model, taking particularly France as an example. It will be the bourgeoisie, who knows the avant-garde and travels to Europe, the one who will take the stained glass windows to their houses, as symbols of the civil and economic power that they represent. This is the canarian case, similar to the Latin American countries in terms of ideas, history and context, and this is the reason why it will be analyzed here as a model.
