  Low-grade osteosarcoma of the proximal fibula was diagnosed in a 9-year old cat. In the absence of detectable metastasis, the treatment of choice is amputation of the affected limb. Bone tumours are usually very painful, and a multimodal approach to the management of pain was established early. In light of the low risk of metastatic spread of low-histological grade feline osteosarcoma, no adjuvant chemotherapy was administered.

  Un ostéosarcome de faible grade de la fibula proximale est diagnostiqué chez un chat âgé de 9 ans. En l'absence de métastase détectable, le traitement de choix est l'amputation du membre atteint. Les tumeurs osseuses étant généralement très douloureses, une gestion plurimodale de la souffrance est instaurée précocement. À la lumière du faible risque de dissémination métastaique des ostéosarcomes félins de faible grade histologique, aucune chimiothérapie adjuvante n'a été administrée.
