  • Here it is shown the equipment of a motor train set with three cars, hydrostatic power transmission and control system by computer. The tests relative to the performances in velocity, acceleration and hydrostatic braking and also in reference with the regulation of the velocity and the diesel engine are presented. Finally, it is concluded that the hydrostatic transmissions offer interesting characteristics in the relative to their performances when compared to other transmission systems, the price being similar. The electronic regulation allows the detection and correction of the sliding phenomena that can occur in the driving axles.
