Resumen
“Talgo Patents” is in charge of the maintenance of the Talgo locomotives owned by RENFE. The two types of KM locomotives which presently tow the Talgo III are considered and taking in account the time elapsed it is possible to know their behavior in relation to the preventive and corrective maintenance. In relation to the manufacturers and the bahaviour in service are considered the programmed maintenance periods in order to establish the revisions, controls and general inspections according to the kilometres of service and studying the concordance with the previsions, resulting this very close, and appearing the greatest divergences during the first 100.000 kilometres.
It is seen that the influence of the transmission oil and the heat interchange is definitive in relation to the maintenance and general inspection periods in the case of the MTU Mekydro K 104 and Mekydro K 184 transmissions which are the existing in these locomotives and with them we have obtained a 98 per cent disponibility with an utilization of the park changing between the 89 and 93 per cent during the last 16 years.
