  • Resumen
    • Because of the experiences obtained for many tens of years by the firm Voith in the field relative to the hydrodynamic transmissions for diesel-hydraulic railway vehicles and also as a result of the close collaboration with a great number of manufacturers of locomotives and well-known users both in Germany and abroad, we dispose nowadays of a large range of much-studied, tested, sure, modern economic turbo-transmissions.

Keeping the known high duration, solidity and constructive simplicity of the reversing turbo-transmissions Voith, we have reduced the weight per unity of power in the new generation transmissions, enlarged considerably the starting tractive effort and developed a constant velocity control and anti-creep device inside the transmission.

As we have in our firm the possibility of supply of “power pack” of railway elements optimally related one another, we can offer to the client the turbotransmission, the axle reducer, the cooling installation, the cardan shafts, as soon as the whole electric installation and electric control. A basic component of railway vehicle in an only hand and with an only responsibility.

Finally, we draw the conclusion that to date there is not any transmission system more economical and sure for the switching and mixed traffic locomotives than the diesel-hydraulic transmission with the reserver turbo-transmission.
