  • The research under way has uncovered numerous structures of different types in the area around Mounts Erroizpe, Larte and Gazteluko Harkaitza. In Erroizpe, in 2014 a small mound was identified which, according to radiocarbon dating, was built some time between the 6th and 7th centuries AD. A spear tip was also found linked to this mound, as well as a cist-type structure dating from the Bronze Age. Moreover, construction remains of mountain huts have also been found in the immediate vicinity. All this indicates an intense, varied occupation of the site over the centuries
