For the Emsland Transrapid test facility (TVE), a continuously elevated single concrete or steel guideway is used.
The article describes the location and the most important data of the route, the requirements and the loads of the guideway, the concrete and steel guideway concepts to be implemented, the choice of foundations, the concrete substructures, the equipment and material provided for the concrete guideway, the surveying concept chosen, the curved-section switches and the progress of the work so far achieved at the site of the Emsland test facility.
