  Este traballo é unha análise descritiva e explicativa de certas expresións metafóricas galegas que implican un proceso de animalización do ser humano, mediante o cal a este se lle atribúen as características propias dos animais que funcionan como referentes. Esta análise ten como obxectivo coñecer o motivo polo que os galegos empregan a figura de certos animais na construción de expresións metafóricas que retratan determinados sentimentos, emocións ou accións da súa vida diaria.

  A proximidade destes animais con respecto ás persoas está en relación coa presenza de características positivas ou negativas nas expresións metafóricas. A través dunha serie de exemplos comprobarase que o ser humano prefire empregar, en maior medida, os animais domésticos para construír expresións que acheguen características negativas; mentres que os animaisnon domésticos, aínda que tamén achegan maioritariamente trazos negativos, teñen unha porcentaxe de aparición maior que os domésticos nas expresións que implican unha valoración positiva

  This work is a descriptive and explanatory analysis of some Galician metaphorical expressions that involve a process of animalization of the human being, by means of which this adopts the characteristics of the animal referents. The objective of this analysis is to know the reason why the Galician husers employ the figure of some animals in the construction of metaphorical expressions that portray feelings, emotions or actions of his daily life.

  The vicinity of these animals with the people is in relation with the presence of positive or negative characteristics in the metaphorical expressions. Through a series of examples we will see, that the human being prefers to use in greater measure, the domestic animals to build expressions that provide negative characteristics; whereas the non domestic animals, although they also provide principally negative characteristics, have a greater percentage of apparition that the domestic animals in the expressions that involve positive characteristics.
