  In this article, Firmalampen with the maker's mark EVCARPVS are investigared both ;

  chaeologically and scientifically. After a morphological classification that makes it possible to separate Italic products from those of the north-west provinces, the question of production site location is pursued. It appears that a total of 322 documented lamps ofEVCARPVS were produced in only a few centres. The shift of production from northen Italy to the notrhern Limes regions was deliberately planned, but nor as the result of a simple imitation of Italic products. Rather, production is likely to have taken place in subsidiary workshops, whose locations were oriented to marker areas - particularly those created by the Legions.

  Dans cet article, les « Firmalampen » portant la marque de fabrication EVCARPVS font l'objet d'une analyse archéologique et scientifique. Après une classification morphologique permettant de séparer les produits italiques de ceux des provinces du Nord-Ouest, l'attention se porte sur la localisation des centres de production. Il en ressort que les 322 larnpes d'EVCARPVS documentées ne furent fabriquées que dans quelques centres. Cette production était plutôt assurée par des filiales d'EVCARPVS qui s'érablissaient en fonction des débouchés - en particulier à proximité des légions.

  In diesem Beitrag werden mit der Herstellermarke EVCARPVS versehene Firmalampen archaologisch und naturwissenschafdich untersucht. Nach einer morphologischen Gliederung, die es ermóglicht, italische Produkte von jenen aus den Nordwestprovinzen zu rrennen, wird der Frage nach der Lokalisierung der Produktionsorte nachgegangen. Dabei zeigt sich, dass insgesamt 322 dokumentierte Lampen des EVCARPVS in nur wenigen Zentren hergestellt wurden. Die Verlagerung der Produktion von Oberitalien in die nördlichen Limesregionen erfolgte geplant, und zwar nicht als Resultat einer simplen Abformung iralischer Produkte in den dorrigen Werksrarren. Vielmehr dürfre die Produktion Filialen des EVCARPVS srarrgefunden haben, deren Srandorre sich an den - insbesond durch die Legionen entsrandenen - Absatzrnärkten orientierten.
