Accordingly to the clockspeed perspective, organizations’ responses to ever-increasing levels of industrial change determine their survival. In this perspective, we empirically examine the impact of supply chain integration and process clockspeed on the level of new product introductions in the Brazilian automotive industry. Our findings indicate that new product introductions are enhanced by either high levels of supply chain integration or increased process clockspeed, while a negative interaction was found between these two strategies and new product introduction levels.
