In this paper we analyze the contribution that a critical hermeneutical Ethics has made to the philosophical debate about the moral obligation. The critical hermeneutic Ethics combines the "rational" requirements of moral procedimentalism with the “factual” and “experiential” requirements of the Philosophical Hermeneutics. Due to its critical character, this Ethics attempts to find a rational foundation of moral imperatives; and at the same time, thank to its hermeneutic character, introduces in a pure procedimental theory, “impure” elements such as the particular situation or individual experience.
