  • The aim of this thesis is to reflect on the role of women in secular Galician-Portuguese Cantigas (Poems).

    The object of study will be dealt with through a multidisciplinary perspective; hence, texts will be approached having into account different aspects: from history, law and religion to gender theories. All these views will help us perform a thorough analysis of the corpus of study, which will allow us to conduct a series of classifications of the female characters of the texts, according to several categories that will be outlined during and after the research.
