En este trabajo se investiga el significado del adjetivo 'ingenioso', presente en el título del "Quijote". Mediante el examen de su significado en los autores latinos clásicos y renacentistas se llega a la conclusión de que la nota predominante es la de inteligente, a la que acompaña la de 'imaginativo'.

This article analyses the meaning of the adjective ingenioso present in the Quixote’s title. By examining its meaning in Classical and Renaissance Latin authors, we conclude that intelligence/intelligent (together with imagination, imaginative) is the keynote to etermine the adjective’s meaning.
