Resumen de Sesión IV del I Congreso Internacional de Ingeniería Civil: Desarrollo sostenible, inversiones necesarias y cambio climático

El 3 de marzo de 2016 tuvo lugar la sesión IV del I Congr eso Internacional de Ingeniería Civil bajo el lema “Desarrollo Sostenible, Inversiones Necesarias y Cambio Climático”. La sesión estuvo marcada por dos aspectos íntimamente enlazados. Por un lado, los retos e inversiones que habrá que afrontar la comunidad internacional en la lucha contra el cambio climático. Por otro lado, las oportunidades laborales que se abren a los ingenieros civiles en las tecnologías asociadas tanto a la lucha contra el fenómeno propiamente dicho como a la mitigación de sus consecuencias. En el presente artículo se relatan los contenidos tratados.

The 4th session of the I International Congress of Civil Engineering took place on 3 March 2016 under the banner of “Sustainable Development, Necessary Investment and Climate Change”. The session was marked by two intrinsically related aspects: the challenges and investment required by the international community in the fight against climate change; and the professional opportunities opened up to civil engineers by technologies associated with the battle against climate change and the mitigation of its consequences. The present article outlines the aspects debated.
