    En este trabajo se revisan las tres tesis principales que Ignatio Vincentio, pensador español del s.XVII, defiende sobre el intelecto agente: 1ª) Es la misma potencia que el posible con distinción formal y pluralidad de nombres. 2ª) Consta de tres oficios: a) iluminar los fantasmas, b) hacer los mismos fantasmas inteligibles en acto, c) abstraer las especies inteligibles de los fantasmas. 3ª) Permanecerá en el alma separada y podrá ejercer el mismo oficio que en la presente situación, aunque sin conversión a los fantasmas.

    In this work we review the three principal theses that Ignatio Vincentio, a Spanish thinker of the seventeenth century, defends about the agent intellect: 1) it is the same potency as the possible intellect, only with a formal distinction and plurality of names; 2) it has three tasks: a) to illuminate phantasmata, b) to make them intelligible in act, and c) to abstract the intelligible species from them; and 3) it will remain in the separated soul performing the same task as in the present situation [(in thislife)?], but without conversion to phantasmata.
