  • Resumen
    • The National Science Foundation awarded Bismarck State College, Bismarck, North Dakota, an Instrumentation and Laboratory Improvement Grant based on the proposal entitled "The Study of Chemistry by Guided Inquiry Method Using Microcomputer Based Laboratories." New computer equipment provided opportunities in technology and inquiry-based laboratories for students enrolled at the college in all science disciplines, including vocational and allied health students. An additional benefit from the grant was its facilitating a popular outreach program for science teachers, at the high school level, funded by a Title II Eisenhower grant. This gave needed technology training for rural schools throughout the state of North Dakota, and by popular demand, not only has this outreach program been funded for the third year, it will be expanded to include middle school science teachers.
